Yoga

We bring you Hatha, Nidra and our beloved Yin Yoga

Our aim with all our physical based practices is that they are accessible to all. It's a common misconception that we tell ourselves we are either not fit enough, well enough, or flexible enough to take part in yoga. In reality, all you need to be is willing to attend - consistency and the right teacher for you is all you need. 

Until we moved up to Morayshire, we worked alongside Tayside NHS and Disability Sports Scotland, bringing Yoga, meditation, movement and breath in the form of a fully funded Chair Yoga, Breathwork & Mobility classes, and again, it is our intention, through our CiC that we will bring this to Morayshire.

Qigong

Welcome to Qigong.

Al offers a unique blend of traditional Qigong practices and contemporary insights to help you achieve greater physical health, mental clarity and awareness. Catering for all ages and abilities as with our yoga classes, Al’s approach is functional rather than aesthetic or dogmatic. Working with your body, within your range of movement and anatomy, find your perfect Qigong practice.

Breath

Breathwork: A huge part of everything we bring you.

 

In addition to the Yogi breathwork, Paula has studied in the ancient form of Holotropic breath, and in the modern, scientific form of The Oxygen Advantage Method. 

​The need for breathwork can easily be dismissed simply down to the fact that we all do it, and have being doing it for our entire lives.

Breathwork can and will improve performance, health, lung efficiency, posture, and sleep. It balances, or rebalances our nervous system.

By controlling our breath in specific patterns we influence our body, mind and energy.

 

Yoga breathing, or pranayama, is the practice of intentional breath control to balance the nervous system and support mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.

Holotropic breathwork uses sustained rapid breathing to induce altered states for deep emotional release and accessing psychological exploration. A little more can be found here, but please get in touch for more details with this form of breathwork.

Oxygen Advantage Breathwork is scientific, measurable and a performance-focused method with its roots in the Buteyko method and respiratory physiology.

This method is used to improve athletic performance, endurance and recovery, and even if you’re not pursuing athletic goals, the Oxygen Advantage will improve sleep quality, stress resilience, mental focus and overall health and well-being by teaching you how to use your breath more efficiently and calm your nervous system.​
