Fit for Life

Be fit for what you choose to do in life.

The most common barrier to fitness that we have is ourselves - we feel that we are not strong enough to participate, haven't got the right gear, that injury or illness prevents us, that we may begin looking at our fitness once we lose a little weight. Class times may not suit us, working out on our own may not be attractive, we may struggle with time, juggling family commitments & work.

In all honesty, all you need to be fit is consistency and a little guidance - it is the responsibility of your trainer or coach to find a way that makes exercise accessible and enjoyable.

Exercise is a lifestyle change, so why should it be something that we dread, or find endless reasons to avoid it.

We make a common error in thinking that in order for exercise to be effective that they should fit into a timely hour of our day, and if during that time we are not experiencing 'no pain, no gain', then there's no point to it. That's not an attractive quality for something we are committing to, is it? Pain, in fact, is a warning, a guide to move away from what you are doing.

There will be effort involved with what we do, but not punishment. There will be sweat, and likely a fair amount of mud.

There will be discovering limits - but safely so.

There will be understanding and learning how to adapt exercises so that they are accessible and efficient for you.

There will be accountability and measurable baselines for you to check your progress.

There will be fun and laughter - there is a form of exercise and a way of exercising to suit each of us, it's just about unlocking and discovering what it is.

You may have tried many forms of exercise before, but have you trained in a way where your needs are met on an individual basis and where you are supported each and every step of the way?

Have you trained at a time of day that suits you? (or you and your partner, family, friends).

Your body is designed to move, to be stressed and to be challenged. Meeting those needs safely is my commitment and promise to you.
