Sports Massage
A misleading title as this form of massage is suitable for absolutely everyone.
This is a deep massage that helps relieve muscle tension, reduce aches and pains, and improve movement caused by daily activities, work, stress, or exercise. It is a targeted treatment, one that will investigate as to why you are feeling pain and discomfort, and one that will look at the body as a whole, on the basis that if something is tight somewhere in the body that it will be having a direct and negative effect elsewhere.
This form of treatment can be a one off or regular treatment. Often used as a maintenance massage, once the body is pain free.
All treatments with me are guided by you - whilst on my treatment couch, there may be some discomfort, or a 'pain' that feels 'good', but communication between us both is essential to be able to guide the work to where it is needed, at a level that is beneficial, and not brutal. We use pain as a guide, not as a measure as to how effective your treatment is.
